What We Are All About
We exist as a church to glorify God. Curiously, that most often is done in the way we interact with other people. Ultimately, we are to make disciples for Jesus. That begins with a response to the GOSPEL. What is the Gospel? We’re glad you asked.
A simple way to grasp the Gospel message is with this acrostic. The Bible teaches that:
G od created you for Himself.
O ur sin separates us from God and places us under His holy judgment.
S in cannot be erased by good deeds.
P aying the price for sin, Jesus died and rose again!
E veryone who trusts in Jesus alone has Eternal Life.
L ife that’s eternal means that we will be with Jesus forever.
By turning from sin and placing your faith (trust) in Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection you can know the forgiveness that leads to eternal life. What We Believe
We are a Bible-believing, Gospel-centric fellowship. We affirm the Baptist Faith & Message as our detailed articles of faith. Below is a cursory statement of our beliefs.
Together, We Believe
That the Bible is the perfect testimony of God’s revelation to mankind – it is God’s Word. As such, it is completely without error. Further, it is the complete revelation of His will for salvation and for the Christian life.
We believe that there is one and only one living and true God and that He is the Creator of all things. The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. In His incarnation as Jesus Christ, He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He honored the divine law by His personal obedience, and in His substitutionary death on the cross, He made provision for the redemption of men from sin.
We believe that every person has worth as a creation of God – made uniquely in God’s image. God created mankind as male and female – the crowning work of God’s Creation. By his free choice man sinned against God and brought sin into the human race, making union with God by our own effort impossible. The sacredness of human personality is evident in that God created man in His own image, and in that Christ died for man; therefore, every person of every race possesses dignity and is worthy of respect and Christian love.
We believe that forgiveness of sin and the promise of eternal life are available to all people who will accept the free gift of God’s grace through Jesus Christ.
We believe that all those who have trusted in Christ as Lord and Savior, repented of their sins and confessed their faith in Him are in right relationship with God. We also believe that the Holy Spirit indwells all believers and enables and empowers the life and ministry of all believers.
We believe in the hope and reality of Jesus Christ’s return.
Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
We affirm there are two ordinances observed by the church: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Both of these hold great importance in both the individual Christian and the church, as a whole. But neither holds saving significance.

Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer's faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer's death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus.

The Lord's Supper is a symbolic act of obedience whereby members memorialize the death of the Redeemer and anticipate His second coming.
Stewardship
God is the source of all blessings, temporal and spiritual; all that we have and are we owe to Him. We encourage every member to adopt a lifestyle of stewardship that recognizes God’s ownership of everything and to practice the biblical principle of tithing (giving at least one-tenth of one’s income) to support the work of the church.
The Family
We affirm that God has ordained the family as the foundational institution of human society. It is composed of persons related to one another by marriage, blood or adoption. Further, we believe that marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime. Both husband and wife are of equal worth before God, since both are created in God's image.
